One of my favorite actresses and fashion muse is doing what I think she may have been born to do... design a dress line-  (With a little help from Tommy Hilfiger of course).

Zooey Deschanel has co-designed and inspired a lovely collection of retro glam dresses.  Perfect for the modern girl on a budget, the frocks range between $98-$199 and can be found at your local Macys and on macys.com in April.  The looks (some shown below) have a "vintagey", retro-classic Audrey/Zooey kind of look.

I saw this on Pinterest and instantly felt giddy.  Ever have one of those days that just makes you feel less than (put noun here)? Well me too. Some days it's other people, some days it's your health, others it's just being a girl...I try to not let the blues take up residence in my head for too long.  Some powerful words of encouragement always do the trick. Fortunately for me I have a great husband, a wonderful mom and friends to remind me how trivial these things that get me down can be.  And when I need a quick pick me up, I find motivating images and phrases to give me a little boost.  So far, this latest one may be my favorite.  I hope it makes you feel good too.

I don't know about you guys but this week was a little trying. I can't express enough how glad I am that it is over!  I'm looking forward to clearing my head with a little R&R.  Hope you are too! Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love Sarah Jessica Parker (just check out my Pinterest board-{Carrie Bradshaw's Closet} and then you will know).  She is one of my style icons, I love how much she loves New York, how she walks the street in a pair of Manolos or in a pair of Uggs, she doesn't care.  Now she has put her chicness to use in another way, her very own shoe line.  I must admit when I heard about this I was quite excited but not sure if I would run out to buy a pair.  Was this a "Bitten" remix?  I don't know, but so far, I like what I see...
