I was looking for something for the sole purpose of inspiration and beautiful pictures.  I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for, but I would know it when I found it.  I thumbed through magazines, searched online, watched the style network...nothing.  I decided I needed to read a book, nothing deep, just something to take me away on a fashion dream trip.  Then I saw it. The most fabulous book cover ever.  The title alone was enough....I was smitten...  Audrey in Rome.

So, thanks to Audrey, I broke out the ballet flats, the cropped jeans and the huge sunnies.  I should have known a little Audrey was all I needed... and if she were around today, I imagine her wearing this:

Ok so I figured out I pretty much have an addictive personality. Once I am into something there is no stopping it. I know most people cannot stop at just one chip, or just one cookie. That can be an issue for me as well, (it's a good thing I love salad.)
As of late, I am in love with everything Zara, particularly their shoes laced with studs and spikes. They look dangerous but oh so hot. And might I adds that they actually got Me to buy a pair of shorts? If you knew me well (and you are starting to) you know shorts are not my thing. But scroll down at the lovelies I picked up along with some of my present essentials ... You know they are ever changing!

Sometimes amidst a world of cruel people- it is quite difficult to live your life repaying with kindness.  People can leave you feeling disgusted, vindictive and hopeless.  However hard it can be, I struggle through and try to live my life loving my neighbors, turning the other cheek and forgiving continually.  I know there are still good people in the world.  People who help when there is a tragedy, people who show support to strangers when it is needed, people who have a love of animals and of the planet.  I know they exist...you hear about them, they are out there. With all that, it is still very hard to remind yourself of the kind people when all you hear about is the evil in them all the time.  Senseless violence, hate crimes and abuse leave you wondering how awful can people be? 
I believe strongly in you reap what you sow.  People will pay for what they do- one way or another.  So in the meantime, I am doing my best to try to focus on the good.

This past week or so has been chock full of exciting times and fun purchases. It was nice to get a break from the usual work -sleep -repeat - (sigh). So it was a pleasure to be in New York to see Cinderella on Broadway, have a great dinner at Resette and spend time with my mom, my husband and his mom.

This is a little taste of what I enjoyed and a sneak peek at my new faves:

Love Anthropolgie?  Wish you could adorn your home with all their vintage inspired quirky decor?  Me too.  Sometimes I bite the bullet and go for it, a lot of times they have great stuff on sale.  In the meantime though- you must check out Target's new line Threshold.  It's a less expensive version of Anthro, West Elm and Pottery Barn all smashed together.  A little bit of this and that.  Prices are still Target-like but details are quite impressive.  Target does it again- they are really on top of things!  P.S. though- some items are available online only and if they are glass and fragile you will pay a HEFTY shipping charge as I unfortunately learned.  (Two initial coffee mugs were going to run me $34 bucks in shipping...-no thanks).  So just be aware- check out all the home aisles carefully, you may find a gem among the spoil.

Nothing like a non-commitment purchase.  A trend is not something you want to spend a lot on.  On top of which Spring is pretty much non-existent these days.  Hello 2 weeks and then Summer?  So trying out new looks can be daring and a waste if you spend a lot and it will just sit in your closet.  Take it from someone who knows...(My friends and family benefit frequently from my shopping habit.)  So- if I were going to buy a few things to update my look this Spring season and keep it budget friendly- this is what I would buy...ahem:

March was a blur for me. I know many who feel the same way. It was hectic but wonderful and I did not have much time to myself but it was well worth it. Coconut barely saw my husband and I - she was not too happy. We made up for it with a lot of extra hugs and kisses though.  Time was so scarce I nearly did not have any time to shop (gasp!) but alas...managed to steal a few minutes online.

So this was what my some of my life (and some of my shopping) looked like for the month of March - and though I did not have much time, I managed to treat myself quite nicely... (And yes the HUZband approved).
